Program Mission, Goals, and Objectives

The Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance is formed by a partnership between NutraCo and Graceland University. As such, the mission of the program was designed to be a marriage of each partner’s mission. 

Graduate Program Mission Statement

The mission of the NutraCo-Graceland University Partnership Master of Science in Nutrition and Human Performance Dietetics Concentration is to create didactic- and experiential-learning opportunities where students nationwide develop their potential to become culturally compassionate registered dietitian nutritionists who support the lives of those they serve through evidence-based practice.

NutraCo Mission Statement

To provide staffing services of Registered Dietitians to healthcare facilities, who are knowledgeable, compassionate, supportive, and work together toward the common goal of dignified patient care.

Graceland Mission Statement

Graceland creates learning communities where students develop their potential for meaningful and productive lives.

 

PROGRAM GOALS

Program Goal 1
Program graduates will be competent for entry-level practice as a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist. The Objectives in italics indicate ACEND-required objectives that cannot be altered.

Objectives for Goal 1

  • At least 80% of students complete program requirements within 33 months (150% of the program length).
  • Of graduates who seek employment, at least 80% are employed in nutrition and dietetics or related fields within 12 months of graduation.
  • At least 80% of program graduates take the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists within 12 months of program completion.
  • The program’s one-year pass rate (graduates who pass the registration exam within one year of first attempt) on the CDR credentialing exam for dietitian nutritionists is at least 80%.
  • At least 80% of employers who respond to the 1-Year Post-Graduation Survey will affirm the graduate is competent for entry-level practice as an RDN.
  • At least 80% of graduates who respond to the 1-Year Post-Graduation Survey will agree or strongly agree that this program prepared them for entry-level positions as an RDN.


Program Goal 2
Program graduates will be dedicated to life-long learning.

Objectives for Goal 2

  • At least 75% of graduates who respond to the 1-Year Post-Graduation Survey will indicate they are members of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or other nutrition and dietetics related organization.


Program Goal 3
Program graduates will provide compassionate culturally appropriate care.

Objectives for Goal 3

  • At least 75% of employers who respond to the 1-Year Post-Graduation Employer Survey will agree or strongly agree that the graduate provides compassionate culturally-appropriate care.


Program Outcomes Data

The NutraCo-Graceland University Partnership Graduate Program seeks to be transparent by providing program outcome data (e.g. the number of applicants/students admitted, student completion rate, pass rate for the RDN examination, program objectives, etc.) upon written request to the Program Director, NAME, at EMAIL ADDRESS.

Accreditation Information

The NutraCo-Graceland University Partnership Graduate Program is currently granted candidacy for accreditation by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics
