Why Choose the NutraCo-Graceland University Partnership Program?
NutraCo-Graceland University Partnership MS NHP
The Master of Science (MS) in Nutrition and Human Performance – Dietetics Concentration is offered through a partnership between NutraCo and Graceland University. It is designed under the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) guidelines for future education model graduate programs. The partnership allows for didactic and supervised experiential learning to occur simultaneously throughout the program under the competency-based education model.
The program is delivered through distance learning and may place students in SEL facilities throughout the country. This program’s SEL requirement component totaling a minimum of 1,000 hours. Students are required to locate supervised practice sites within their geographical area to host their SEL experiences. One of the many advantages of completing this program is NutraCo’s ability to place students with NutraCo RDs across the country that serve as preceptors for clinical rotations, and potentially the Food Service Management rotation. Guidance and assistance is provided in finding preceptors and rotation sites for the remaining rotations and supervised experiential learning hours. We welcome all eligible applicants throughout the United States to apply to our program. As a student in our program, you will have the convenience and flexibility that online learning provides as well as the ability to complete your supervised experiential learning in your local area.
Our future education model graduate program is committed to assisting each student in successfully completing all program requirements and assignments to obtain eligibility status to take the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) credentialing examination for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN). Students are expected to complete the program as scheduled, to complete all assigned program activities, and to successfully demonstrate all required competencies in order to qualify for graduation from the program.
Didactic education is provided by Graceland University and Supervised Experiential Learning is completed through NutraCo. Upon program completion, Graceland University will provide the MS in Human Nutrition diploma and NutraCo will provide the Verification Statement required to take the RDN exam through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Our aim is to position our graduates to fill the projected overall increased need for competent RDNs as outlined by the Bureau of Labor Statistics Job Outlook: “Employment of dietitians and nutritionists is projected to grow 11% from 2018 to 2018, much faster than the average for all occupations.”
