Minimum completion of bachelor’s degree granted by a U.S. regionally accredited college/university or foreign equivalent and ACEND-accredited coursework requirements (Didactic Program in Dietetics or DPD) with signed original Verification Statement or Declaration of Intent Statement. Submit copies of your official transcripts and signed Verification Statement or Declaration of Intent Statement upon acceptance to our program.
Any applicant that does not already possess a graduate degree must apply to a graduate school program. If an applicant is admitted first to the Dietetic Internship program, it is contingent upon acceptance to the graduate degree program.
Students will indicate on their application to the NutraCo Dietetic Internship program their intent to apply to a graduate degree program and which of the affiliated graduate program(s), or non-affiliated graduate program they are applying to, if applicable. This may be included directly in DICAS.
All applicants must meet one of the following admission requirements pertaining to a graduate degree:
Applicant must have completed a graduate degree by the planned DI start date (proof of completion is required in the form of final, official transcripts); or
Applicant must already be enrolled in or accepted to a graduate degree program (proof of acceptance or enrollment is required); or
Applicant must be applying to an affiliated or non-affiliated graduate degree program; in this case, applicants will only be conditionally accepted to the DI program if they are accepted to a graduate program no later than two months prior to the DI program start date
**Please note: Applicants that are applying to, are enrolled in or are accepted to a non-affiliated graduate degree program must be able to complete the DI program and the graduate program within a maximum of 12 months (full time interns) or 23 months (part time interns) from the start of the Dietetic Internship
Minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale for overall and DPD courses (3.0 or greater preferred), and graduate school courses (if applicable). However, we consider the entire application packet and do make exceptions to the GPA requirement.
Work or volunteer experience in dietetics is preferred, but not required.
Technology skills and requirements for distance learning include: computer/laptop-preferable; email account; high speed internet; webcam/microphone; headset; color scanner; printer; smartphone; and Microsoft Office 2010 or higher.
